  • The Scroobious team reviews each vendor profile and community review before they are published on the marketplace. While we cannot verify all individual claims made, we take baseline steps to verify to the best of our ability that people are who they say they are, and that published profiles and reviews meet the standards outlined in our content guidelines.

  • Community-driven recommendations are the core of our marketplace. Vendor ratings and reviews are submitted by founders, investors, and other trusted members of the Scroobious community.

All reviews are moderated by the Scroobious team in accordance with our content guidelines.

  • Extended community reviews are reviews from trusted members of the Scroobious community who may not have an account on the Scroobious platform. These reviews are vetted by the Scroobious team for quality, relevance, and overall utility for our community.

Vendor Marketplace Content Guidelines

Community-driven recommendations are at the core of our marketplace, and our goal is for our marketplace to be the trusted place for you to come to when you need to find the right partners.

All content on the marketplace, including vendor profiles, reviews, and direct messages, are expected to adhere to these guidelines to help us continue to foster a safe place for community members to connect with trusted vendors.

Messaging Vendors

Do's

  • Ask Vendors questions about their services and products to help you vet the right provider for your business.

  • Reach out to redeem an offer!

Don'ts

  • Self-promotion, recruitment, lead generation, and other solicitation detract from the overall usefulness of the marketplace and are strictly prohibited.

  • Messages that can be construed as threats, harassment, or hate speech are not acceptable.

Vendor Reviews

Do's

  • Post relevant content. Make sure your contributions are mindful of what you think other founders and community members would find useful in considering a vendor.

  • Share your personal experience with a vendor. Reviews will only be accepted if you (or for our investor friends, a founder in your portfolio) has directly worked with a given vendor.

Don'ts

  • Promotional content. Content that is blatantly self-promotional detracts from the usefulness of reviews and is not allowed.

  • Conflict of interest. The goal of our marketplace is to provide trusted recommendations, so reviews will not be accepted by a vendor's own employees, friends, relatives, or competitors.

  • Inappropriate content. Content that can be construed as threats, harassment, or hate speech is not acceptable.

Vendor Profiles

Community Offers (Vendor Perks)

We are so appreciative of the myriad of contributions that our vendor partners make through their Community Offers! To ensure that Community Offers are made in the give-first spirit of our community, we ask that offers align with the following guidelines.

✅ Community Offers Are:

  • Contributions from vendors that are genuinely offered to Scroobious community members with no expectation of getting anything back.

  • Centered on founder success. We believe that when founders win, we all win.

  • A great way for vendors to foster trust by demonstrating a give-first mindset.

  • An opportunity for more visibility on the Scroobious platform. Our Vendor Marketplace search features make finding vendor profiles with a Community Offer easy. Additionally, Community Offers are often highlighted in community conversations and marketing communications.

❌ Community Offers Are Not

  • Transactional. All Community Offers are expected to be perks to Scroobious community members, with no expectation of an exchange.

  • Sales calls. Vendors interested in contributing a Community Offer in the form of a free consultation call are expected to clarify how the call will benefit founders beyond a sales relationship. We've received feedback that it can be confusing to discern, so we want to make sure your perk doesn't come across that way!

Moderation Process

All vendor profiles and reviews are moderated by Scroobious team members in accordance with our Content Guidelines outlined on this page. Additionally, our team reviews any content that is flagged by community members.

To preserve the authenticity of reviews and trust in recommendations, Scroobious does not alter the content of reviews submitted. We also do not suppress critical reviews that are constructive in nature.

While we are unable to verify the veracity of specific statements made by individuals on our platform, we do monitor and review content based on these guidelines. We reserve the right to:

  • Notify members if their content has been flagged.

  • Remove or restrict content that is in violation of our content guidelines.

  • Temporarily or permanently suspend accounts or service privileges, depending on the severity of an offense. Repeated offenses or egregious behavior can result in a permanent ban.
